SWIM TIME!!!

There is nothing better than the joys of swimming! I have always loved swimming. I always loved being in the water. I was very very lucky to have grown up with a pool. I remember many days and nights being spent hanging at the pool. I have always enjoyed being in the water and having a good time. I love how my kids are the same exact way. They love love love the water! I love love love summertime, so we can all enjoy swimming! This was just a fun day at the pool with two of my best friends in the whole world and their adorable kids of course...I only wish the pool was in my backyard!:)... though i guess that is a blessing it is not because seriously i would never get anything done...we would always be that water!!

Sunglasses Fetish!!

So the other day i was cleaning and when i entered the living and dining room to clean ...this is what i find on the table...... The gavinator....and he was up on our table and he had these sunglasses. He was trying to put them on and then pose for me. Usually i don't let him play with sunglasses. They always get broken. But this time when i saw him i just laughed and pulled out the camera. It was adorable because most of the time the sunglasses were just a little bit crooked but he was soo proud of himself for getting them on and not poking his eye out.(which he has done before..well not poke his his eye out per say,but he has poked his eye with them and it wasn't pretty)

He knows how much J and I love our sunglasses. We always have them on..if i am indoors they are on my head and if i am outdoors they are always on my eyes. J does the same thing. Our car had these visor clips for sunglasses and they are always full of our many sunglasses. The other day we were driving and it was pretty late and the sun was basically down and i look over at J who is driving and his sunglasses are still on him. I tell him.."hey do you know your sunglasses are on..you might be able to see the road better if they come off"..and we both started to laugh because he had totally forgotten that they were on his eyes. And once they came off then ya he could see the road better!! I do this all time! It looks like little G is ready to start in with his sunglasses fetish!!

It is soo hard to believe that my little boy is already 5 years old! It seems like just yesterday i was in the hospital trying to prepare myself to be a mommy! We are very very grateful for this little boy in our lifes. I have been thinking about time and how fast it flys by. It is also hard to believe that we have been here in portland for 5 years, and before that were were in seattle for a year and a half. It is hard to believe that we have been away from utah for that long! Crazy! We miss all of our friends and family we left behind but just know we think about you often! I just want to wish Mr. C a Very Very Happy Birthday! I am going to help him do a post later about his special day!!

Tag..this will be alot of fun!!!

I got this tag from a friend of mine and i thought it was a cute idea!! Have fun and this could go to sooooo many different levels!hahahha!!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Our 4th of July in Sunriver!!!

WARNING: THIS IS A LONG POST!!! HAHAHA READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

We had such a fun 4th of July weekend. We went with some of our very good friends and headed to Sunriver, Oregon! It was soo fun and just what we needed! Our good friends Christy and Shane have a house down there so they invited us and some families to join them! I could not have asked for a better weekend to do this. The weather was perfect! The kids were awesome. In fact they had soo much fun and they played soo well together that i felt like i hardly saw the faces of the boys..they loved being outside. They were riding their bikes, looking for bugs, climbing rocks and their major fascination with tree sap would entertain them for hours!
We arrived on Thursday and that evening we all went on a group bike ride into town and had Pizza! It was soo fun! The kids loved everyone riding with them and it was soo cute to watch them all learn how to ride on a trail and teach them the rules of trail riding. Like, when someone says from behind you "to your left" we had to teach them to not bike right into the left lane or they would get smooched by the biker who is trying to pass on the left!! And when they go down hill, they needed to brake, not peddle faster or they will biff it! They got to learn all the fun rules of biking, and i must say it was a treat just to watch J and my friend Michelle get their bike riding skills down on the beach cruisers they were on! It was classic and i enjoyed the laughs! I also enjoyed the many times when little Noah would risk crashing on his bike for the sake of seeing tree sap! oh man i love that kid! I wish i had pictures of this bike ride...dang it...oh well...

The next day was the 4th of July and we had made a freaking awesome breakfast. We ate and decided to go on a little hike. We started out on the hike and the kids loved it...but as we got about 10 min in the mosquito's came in full force and started to literally eat me and our friend Shane alive! It was soo weird to me since it was 1130am and it was warm..why the H does a mosquito think they can be out in full force when it wasn't even dusk or dawn...but they must of known i was going to be there, so they called in the troops and ate me alive...so needless to say we called it before we even got half way and decided to head back to the house. After lunch we all went swimming at the pool in town and had a blast! The kids were having soo much fun. I must say to Greg, i loved doing the water slides and i next time i hope not to get caught on that damn slide half way down! It was hilarious! I was sliding and having a blast then boom...i get stuck halfway and just stop cold turkey! I didnt know if i should stand up and run or just waddle my butt down...but it gave all the adults watching me do this a good laugh so that is all that matters right! and the fact that is happened twice!! hahaha
That night we made another awesome dinner and after we were all soo stuffed we hightailed into our cars and drove into bend to watch the county firewords and set a few of our own off. I am actually impressed at how much the kids loved this. They all were soo tired from the huge day we already had, and I thought the babies would be a scared from all the noise and chaos, but they all actually did really well and had a blast! The kids by the end of the night were sooooooo tired!

Then on sat we had a planned the great idea of the girls going out in the morning and the men stay home with kids and entertain. Then in the evening the men go out and so something and we would entertain the kids. I always have fun when it comes to girls nights/days whatever! I jut love them! It totally helps rejuvenate me and it also helps me come home to be a better mom! We of course went shopping! I mean that was a given, right! We love shopping and also love finding awesome deals! I had sooo much fun with christy and michelle, (though nicki and heidi if you are reading we really missed you.) The men went out golfing that night and then after the kids were in bed and the men were back,we all sat our butts in the hot tub and relaxed...what a perfect ending to a perfect day!
Needless to say it was soo sad that the trip had to come to and end and that reality had to hit us in the faces when we got back home. But we cant wait to do this again! Thank you again christy and Shane for inviting us and thank you again for all the fun memories we made at the sun river house this weekend! I miss it already! and i am soo grateful for my awesome friends and the awesome times we always have together!!!
